Tina Mulhall was born in Virginia in 1976. Her father was in the military and she spent the first few years of her life in Germany. Then she moved to Tucson, Arizona and later to Folsom, California. While she was living in Folsom she started to study drawing and painting under the instruction of Nita Petrowski, a well-known local artist. She won numerous awards in state and county fairs and graduated from Folsom High School with honors. Tina attended the University of San Francisco on a merit scholarship and became a participant in their cooperative program with the Academy of Art College. In May of 1998 she received a BFA in painting and had her senior show the following October. She moved to SanJose, got married and finally settled down in Felton, California to concentrate on her art career.
Since moving to Felton in 2000 she has shown her artwork in many different local venues. Her interest in art led her to explore many different aspects, beyond just painting. Since entering college, Tina has taught herself to sew, crochet, knit, and work with other media such as wood burning.
"I am very dedicated to my work. I have loved art since I was very young. The creative experience is the most exhilarating thing in the world for me."
